Dance And Give Thanks
David danced before the LORD with all his might.

Too often we are hesitant to dance, whether it’s dancing in the literal or figurative sense of the word. Perhaps that’s because much of our society’s dancing seeks to glorify the created rather than the One who created. But as Solomon so wisely said, while there is
a time to weep… and a time to mourn,” there is also “a time to laugh… and a time to dance. — Ecclesiastes 3:4
Life is not meant to be a solemn, morose affair.
It is not meant to be endured. It is meant to be lived, which includes working, sleeping, eating, loving, hurting, weeping, laughing, and yes, dancing.
There will always be difficult times, but don’t let them completely steal your joy and your desire to dance.
Dare to delight in the God who loves you whatever the season you find yourself in Twirl in the arms of the rains rain. Shuffle along with the dryness of harmattan season. Be led by the waltz of sunny weather.
Don’t hesitate to dance for the sheer delight of being alive, of being loved by the One who will be your Partner through all eternity.
LET US PRAY:
Lord God, I place my hand in Yours. Lead me through this life in Your beautiful dance.
The Lord Almighty is with me; the God of Jacob is my fortress.
Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with me; the God of Jacob is my fortress.
In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen
