God made you, like Himself, in his image!
Maybe you think you are not pretty or handsome enough, sometimes you may feel broke and burst. I’m glad to tell you that those are externalities, the real you is in the image of God.
Humans are the only part of God’s glorious creation with this special description. You are of more value than a diamond, more precious than gemstones, more regal than a crown jewel, it took the blood of Jesus Christ to restore you.
In his best-selling book, Purpose driven life, Rick Warren said;
“You cannot arrive at your life’s purpose by starting with a focus on yourself. You must begin with God, your Creator. You exist only because God wills that you exist. You were made by God and for God – and until you understand that, life will never make sense.
It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny. Every other path leads to a dead end.”
As you fellowship with God, read His Word, obey His commands, and reflect on His character, your real identity will shine through.
Beloved, don’t let people’s opinions, your bank account, your marital status, child-bearing challenges, the economic recession, sickness, your residency, technology, or any externalities define you. Not at all!
Rather, say things God would say.
Do things God would do.
Forgive readily, share generously, and walk in love towards all men.
It is as if God is scrubbing the smudge off an old coin. In time, an image begins to appear.
God’s goal is simply this: to rub away anything that is not of Him, so His inborn image can be seen in you. You are an image bearer of God, and you can celebrate that promise.
LET US PRAY:
Dear Heavenly Father, I ask for the grace to be a true representation of your being to the world around me.
Grant unto me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation through Christ Jesus that my eyes of understanding may be flooded with light.
I ask that I will be strengthened with power through the spirit of God in my inner man so that I may be all that I was made to be, God’s image-bearer.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
