Mighty Weapons of War
‘ For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.’
– 2 Corinthians 10:4 (AMP)
‘ Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.’

A stronghold is an area in which we are held in bondage—any part of our lives in which Satan imprisons us.
He does this by causing us to think a certain way—a way that is based on lies we have been told.
As long as we believe things that are not true, we will remain imprisoned by those strongholds. To enjoy freedom, we must learn to use God’s mighty weapons.
We will live miserable lives until we learn what Paul meant by “the weapons of our warfare.” The Word of God is the weapon that sets us free. That weapon becomes effective through preaching, teaching, books, sermons, seminars, small Bible study groups, and most especially your own private studies.
You must also learn to turn to other spiritual weapons such as praise and prayer. When we genuinely praise God from our hearts, we defeat the devil quicker than by using any other battle plan.
Praise helps us keep our minds on God, His power, and the good things that are taking place in our lives. It is proof that we believe He can and will help us.
True prayer reflects a relationship with God and shows that we depend on Him. We are His children, and He is our Father.
When you pray and praise, you open the door for God’s help. We ask Him to free our minds and give us victory over Satan’s strongholds and attacks.
Through prayer and praise, the host of heaven, and angels full of power are empowered to act on your behalf. Remember Paul and Silas – About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. (Acts 16:25-26)
God answers prayers. In fact, God is more eager to answer your prayers for help than you are to ask. Think of prayer this way: when you pray in faith, tremendous power is made available to you.
You will win with these weapons (prayer and praise) because they are spiritual weapons. The devil fights carnal, fleshly warfare, but you can win because you have the power of God on your side.
LET US PRAY:
In Jesus’ Name, I declare; though I live in the world, I do not wage war as the world does. The weapons I fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have the divine power to demolish strongholds.
I demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and I take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
I am wise and I do not classify or compare myself to others. My mouth is filled with praise, I will sing and dance to the Lord at all times. His praise will forever be on my lips.
My boast is in the Lord. My commendation comes from him only.
Amen
