For The Love Of Family
‘ You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
– Acts 3:25
‘ With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.” 16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the LORD was merciful to them.’
– Genesis 19:15-16

So passionate is the Lord about families that He makes constant provisions to redeem and rescue them together. It is not His desire to rescue one and forsake the other.
In Lot’s story, notice how the Angels reached out to each member. Note the emphasis the bible makes on holding each person’s hand. Such is the great mercy of God. Each one is important to Him.
He wants His blessing to pour upon all Families and their members. Acts 3:25…” in your seed ALL the families of the earth shall be blessed”.
Family may be biological, spiritual, or a small community with whom you have shared values, common goals, and strong bonds.
Whether it be a blessing of Salvation and redemption, whether it be prosperity, healing, deliverance, or increase, the Lord desires that it is experienced on a “family” level.
His joy to bless families compels Him to help lonely people find families to integrate into, for His covenant of blessing is activated on a family level (Psalm 68:6 – God sets the solitary in families….).
This means that you MUST believe in God not just in yourself.
That’s how the Lord wants us to operate. It must be you and your household (Acts 16:31 -So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household) so as you believe, trust the Lord for blessings and miracles to pour not just on you but on your household also in all areas.
Maybe you think that your brother or sister or parent does not deserve God’s blessing, but you are wrong.
It was mercy that intervened in Lot’s story and mercy can intervene in yours too, but first, you must love them, not necessarily for what they do, for they sometimes miss it as we all do, but for the fact that God chose to put you in the same family with them for a reason.
So love them freely, pray for them regularly, and trust God for intervention in every area of their lives.
LET US PRAY:
Heavenly Father, I ask that you intervene in the life of every member of my immediate family in Jesus’ Name.
I ask that together we will experience your miracles, signs, and wonders today and always in Jesus’ Name. Amen
