He Must Increase
He must increase, but I must decrease.
– John 3:30
“He must become greater; I must become less.”

The verse above is what the graph of our walk with God ought to look like.
John, the Baptist acknowledged his divine purpose and began to willingly take the back seat while the Profile of Jesus began to grow in the land. And John, the disciple took notice.
As a woman and man of purpose, every day the world ought to see less of our personal agenda and more of the love of the Risen Lord.
What does that mean?
It simply means that each day the world sees us, they must see more of God’s truth, grace, and mercy and less of the shame, anger, and bitterness that is common to all.
We ought to manifest and express more of the power and generosity of Heaven and less of the self-centeredness and arrogance that is human nature. More forgiveness and less hatred, more peace and less confusion, more joy and less sadness, etc.
As you daily focus on God’s word and the infilling of His Holy Spirit, your life will invariably yield visible fruits that have the effect of drawing others closer to God as they feel the warmth of true peace, joy, and love radiating through you.
Too many people in the world are hurting. So many are lost seeking a better way of life. We cannot help them when all our focus is on ourselves; needs and wants.
It, therefore, is time to drink more of Heaven’s Sweet Holy Spirit till He increases so much in us that the old person in us totally disappears.
You are more than just an ordinary colleague in the workplace, neighbor in the community, associate in the marketplace, and customer or service provider in the business arena.
You are God’s agent of healing and salvation to those around you, but if you are empty of His power and Spirit, who may drink and be whole?
Let us ask for fresh enablement to become through God’s word and prayer. Rise in your purpose and let the Spirit of God increase till He fills you completely.
LET US PRAY:
In Jesus’ Name, I declare that I align my thoughts with God’s thoughts. I ask for the fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit and I yield to the His leading. My mind is filled with the thoughts of God.
My life is filled with grace as I walk in the steps of Jesus all the days of my life.
Amen
