It was Father’s Day celebration yesterday

Happy Father’s Day greeting to all great men reading this now.

May you be Fathers indeed. 

To all that had the good fortune of being raised by a good earthly father, be grateful.

To others that probably didn’t really know their earthly fathers due to circumstances beyond their control, be comforted.

Maybe you had a biological father that was absent, abusive, evasive, or simply dysfunctional, be encouraged.

Above all, we all do have an amazing father after all. He is the Father of all creation. The Ultimate Father Himself! God Almighty

Do you regularly meditate on this truth?

Hope you noticed the way Jesus spoke in our verse for today.
He could have said ‘My heavenly Father feeds them’, but He chose to say, ‘Your” heavenly Father!

Many of us find it hard to accept that a Great and Holy one such as God will freely associate with us despite all our fumbles, failures, and fear. The good news is that He has assessed, weighed, and seen all your shortcomings but still has adopted you. For our lives, He sent His Only Son!

He is your very own Father! He knows all of His responsibilities to you. This is why You should have no fear.

Your Father will lead you.
He will care for you.
He will protect you.
He will carry you when life weighs you down.
He will see you through when you are going through trials and temptations.

All you need to do is accept His love and relate to Him as a loving child will do to his/her Father.

 

LET US PRAY:

Dear Heavenly Father, the Source of all, I worship you. Thank you for you are a Great Great Father. May my life bring you glory and honor. I love you. Let your name be exalted in my life.
May your power be evident in all areas of my life. May men and women, young and old see me and give glory to you.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

The Lord has declared a new season upon us as a people, and to experience this you have to keep your focus on Him.  Strategy development, hard work, leveraging technology, relationship management, planning, etc are good but the word of God is the best! Therein is the ultimate power you need.  

 

So, the best thing to do now is to focus on God in prayer, read the word, and listen to the instructions of the Holy Spirit.

 

Our bible study and prayer today is in the book of Psalms, the 19th chapter. Read, chant, meditate, and pray these words to our Maker. 

1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak;
    night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word;
    their voice is never heard.


4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
    and their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.
    It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.


6 The sun rises at one end of the heavens
    and follows its course to the other end.
    Nothing can hide from its heat.

7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
    reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.
8 The commandments of the Lord are right,
    bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
    giving insight for living.

…And then it began to pour! Torrents of rain! It seemed like heaven had unleashed itself upon the earth. Never before have I been so thankful for good headlights, working wipers, hazard lights, safe brakes, and a vehicle chassis. Even at that, it was obvious that a slow pace was the way to go.

Sometimes life can be like an overwhelming rainstorm.

Just as the good brakes, wipers, and headlamps are helpful ”standards” against a storm, so also do we need good friends, a good church community, faith in God, scripture verses, and much praise and worship as our “standards” or “protective walls” to help us get through the storms of life, and even with those we still need to slow down, pull out of unnecessary activities and prayerfully figure things out.

No storm lasts forever, but no storm should be taken for granted. 

You may not be in any storm, however, still ensure that your real-life “brakes, wipers, and headlights” are in good order, because you can never tell when the storm will hit.

Get into a good church, serve faithfully, and grow in grace and faith. Embrace a personal dimension to worship and allow God to work in you.

Above all your eyes must remain on Jesus such that like Peter we will not sink in despair when the storm comes. (Matthew 14:30-31 …But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me! Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him…)

 

Keep your focus on the Almighty God. He is greater and mightier than any and every challenge, problem, or storm you will ever face.

 

LET US PRAY:

In Jesus’ Name, I declare the Lord is my refuge and strength, in Him I put my trust.

I mount up with wings as eagles and my strength is renewed. I will run and not be weary, I will walk and not faint for the Lord goes before me and the joy of the Lord is my strength.

No weapon formed or fashioned against me shall prosper and all tongues that rise against me shall be proven to be in the wrong.

I’m unstoppable. I am an overcomer. I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength. Amen.

Waking up could be challenging at times, especially after a previous hectic day or on a rainy cold morning. You set the alarm on your phone. I actually set two. The first is when it would be good to get up, and the second is when I’d jolly well better get up.

You probably crawl out of bed, check out who else is awake, turn to the phone to check your notifications, morning news, and social media posts, shower and hurry out of the house.

It’s not a bad way to start the day, but I’ve found a much better way. I realized that if the first thing I pay attention to is what’s happening in our world, those images and words impact my view of the rest of the day.

But if the Word of God is the first thing I give my heart and mind to, I see everything as under the control of my all-good, all-powerful, and all-loving heavenly Father.

It’s hardly surprising that this start to my day has had a huge impact on my life.

As you wake up, speak the word of God to yourself (Example Psalm 143:8, Lamentations 3: 22-23, Psalm 30:5, Psalm 92:2, etc) — out loud. Repeat the scriptures several times and let it become a great way to start your day:

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, My love will fall and fail, but God’s love never will. for I have placed my trust in you.

The psalmist is very intentional here: trusting God is an act of the will.

“Show me, Father, which way I should go today.” for to you I entrust my life.

And declare, “My life is Yours, Lord, and I trust You with everything.”

A good way to start the day every single day is to declare the Word of God and thank Him for it.

 

LET US PRAY:

Good morning, Dear Heavenly Father! wherever You’re going, I’m comin’ with You. You are my Lord and my leader, Order my steps according to your will today.

Open my eyes to see, open my ears to hear. Cause your name to be glorified in my life today and always.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen

Remember the viral video; ’Mummy, be Calming down’. Well, it was an excerpt from a Mummy-son moment.

 

Truth is we all need to always remember that God is in control and stay CALM in the midst of any and all situations. Here is an acronym for C.A.L.M we can adopt,

C – Celebrate God’s goodness.
Philippians 4:4 says “Rejoice in the Lord always”.

We must remember to always be full of praise and worship to Jehovah. Sing and make melody from your heart to Him. Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished”. 

We have been called to work on a finished project, it’s to praise God all through life.

Count your blessings and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

How will you express your joy for God’s goodness today?

A – Ask God for help.
Philippians 4: 6 reads “Let your requests be made known to God”. James 1:5 in the message translation reads “…pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help…”

You will do well to keep a prayer journal. Start with today’s requests. You will be amazed at the record of answered prayers in a few years to come when you review your journal.

 

L – Leave your concerns with God
Philippians 4: 6 reads “ With thanksgiving, Let your requests be made known to God”.

Do you see any successful farmer that keeps going back to dig the planted seedlings every other day? Only a child does that. The farmer plants and then continues every other farm activity with the belief that the good seed will surely germinate.

Don’t keep meditating on your needs and requests in your head, be anxious for nothing. 

Anytime you remember your concerns, leave it with God. Thank him for relieving you of your anxious thoughts.

M – Meditate on good things.
Philippians 4:8 reads “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”

Think about good outcomes, anticipate a fruitful day, and be full of expectations.

Plan your day to include time alone with God. 
C – celebrate God’s goodness.
A – ask God for help always.
L – leave your concerns with God.
M- meditate on good things.

If you make this a lifestyle, you will stay calm and victorious no matter the storm you face.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege and blessing of talking to you. I celebrate the access I have through Christ Jesus. I receive grace to rejoice always and pray continually.

I have the mind of Christ. My mind is stayed on whatever is pure, right, true, lovely, and admirable. 

I will be strong and resilient in prayer. 

I have the grace and peace of God in abundance today and always.

Vision is powerful!

In your journey to fulfilling your purpose, one of the deepest impediments you will face is a periodic blurry vision or the many interfering distractions that often cause a loss of focus on what is important and urgent.

 

It is so vital that over and again the Lord asks about what we see (Jeremiah 1:11a-The word of the LORD came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”). 
What we see determines so many things in our life;

 

It determines what direction we take. 

It determines what goes on in our hearts. 

It determines our passion and persistence. 

 

As the Lord asked Jeremiah, he is also asking you about what you see. 

 

So Jesus meets this “obviously” blind man and yet asks him “What do you want from me?” He makes no assumptions.

 

The man’s pressing need though obviously blind may not be his sight. He may ask for money, clothes, an artificially intelligent stick, a robotic guide, or emotional health, as many would have done today. 

 

Jesus asked to see if this man knew exactly what was important. The man rightly asked for sight! 

 

Full restoration of vision is vital to your life’s journey. 

 

From time to time you need to re-evaluate your focus and vision. 

Where do you see yourself in the future?

What do you see at work? 

How do you see the family? 

What have you seen in your country? 

All these determine your level of sacrifice, commitment, and passion. 

 

So you must know in your heart of heart what is most important. And in the place of prayer, when the Lord asks you what you want, be bold to ask for full restoration of your vision in any of the areas of your life where you lack clarity and clear sight. 

 

Remember in the book of the beginning, Genesis 1. When everything was without shape and blurry, the first thing God created was light! And that light was not the sun, moon, or stars, those were created on day 4. I believe the light here represents vision, purpose, order, and a sense of direction. 

 

It is time to see new possibilities and opportunities in the chaotic system of the world around you. 

 

You have to speak forth what you see and pursue the great destiny God has appointed for you.

 

LET US PRAY:

Heavenly Father, Open and flood the eyes of my heart with light and understanding that I may see clearly. All veils and scales fall off today, let there be a full restoration of vision in every area of my life. 


Lord, help me to accept the reality that my life is on a pilgrimage, not a Lockdown! Give me the grace to soar on new “wings of faith”. Open my heart and my eyes to see what new dimension beckons upon me. Help me to be pulled into the reality of my prophetic future.
 

I receive Light, inspiration, direction, and grace.  I declare my old life of woes is past, and a complete new season has come for me! I am the Light of the world, I reject confusion and anarchy.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Hope, expectations, dreams, and aspirations are wonderful words that are becoming like endangered species in today’s media vocabulary.
 

With so many failed political leadership, poor economic indices, despair, and evil occurrences besieging us through the news, it is quite easy to become increasingly despondent and depressed unknowingly. Today more than ever in the history of mankind, people are being diagnosed and treated for depression and apathy. Some have even gone a step further and have become fatalistic in their views.

But it ought not to be so. God has made us creatures of Faith, Love, & Hope and we thrive where these exist (And now abide faith, hope, love,… 1 Cor. 13:13).

Hope is thus very necessary if we are to have a healthy and fruitful walk on this earth realm.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. – 1 Thess. 5:8 (NKJV)

Because hope is vital, God gives us dreams and imaginations which are essentially pictures placed in our hearts to inspire and spur us to keep taking that step. It is an expectation that the dream in our hearts will come true. If you lose this emotional expectation then the joy of the walk disappears. 

Proverbs 10:28 in The Message translation reads, “The aspirations of good people end in celebration; the ambitions of bad people crash.”

I recently came across an interesting acronym for HOPE
H – Holding
O – Onto
P – Prophetic 
E – Expectations

When you understand that the prophetic is two-edged, you will appreciate your part in hope.

Prophetic for a child of God means the declared, proclaimed mind of God and also your personal confessions and declarations in agreement with what the Father has said concerning you.

As we keep our hopes alive, as we constantly keep ahead of us the picture of a bright and colorful future, a radiant and peaceful home, and all the beautiful things we expect from God, let us prayerfully and joyfully enter into each new day bearing in mind that if God has promised He will most definitely bring it to pass!

 

Let Us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I agree with the plans and great future you have for me.

I anticipate the manifestation of your plans and purposes for my life with thanksgiving.

Let it be unto me according to your word. My hope and expectations will end in celebration in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Do you know what a quisling is? (It’s a real word. We didn’t make it up.) 
 

If somebody calls you a “quisling,” you should be offended. It’s the same as calling someone a “Judas”.

You see, Vidkun Quisling was a politician in Norway when Adolph Hitler became the leader of Germany. When the Nazis invaded Norway in 1940, Quisling cooperated with the Germans, and the Germans rewarded him by making him the “prime minister” of Norway in 1942.

He sold out his king and his country to get what he wanted. He also imprisoned and killed people who were still loyal to the king but who had escaped to England after the German invasion.

After Germany lost the war, Quisling was arrested, tried, and executed by a Norwegian court. Ever since that time, quisling has been another word for traitor. 

How would you like for your name to become a way to call someone a traitor? You don’t want to be known as a traitor, do you? You want people to think of you as loyal and trustworthy, right? 

Of course, you do. Most people do. Nobody wants to be known as a quisling, because betraying your spouse, family, friends, community, country, or God is wrong.

 

But why is it wrong? Why does almost everyone despise what Quisling did? Why is it wrong to exploit others for personal gain? And why is it right to be faithful to your friends, family, country, or God? 

Faithfulness is right because God is faithful. It makes you trustworthy, reliable, and dependable. Faithfulness is right because being faithful is being like God.

The psalmist sang to God, “Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. . . . Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. . . . Faithfulness is your very character” (Psalm 89:1-2, 8).

 

The reason that unfaithfulness is wrong its quality is not like God’s. 

Furthermore, a lack of faithfulness makes life miserable, difficult, unpredictable, and frustrating. So as you demand faithfulness from others, ask yourself, ‘Am I Faithful’?

So don’t be a quisling in this season of rebirth and renewal. Instead, be faithful to your spouse, family, loved ones, church, friends, employer, country, vision, purpose, and above all God. 

 

LET US PRAY:

Dear God, your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Strengthen me with power through your Spirit in my inner man to overcome all temptations. I will not trade my future and eternity for temporary gain and pleasure.

Dear Holy Spirit, help and empower me to stay faithful to the truth in the face of compromise.  Above all help me to stay faithful to the vision, mission, and purpose of God’s kingdom. I will live and remain faithful to my spouse, family, loved ones, and all that has been committed to my care. 

In Jesus Name I Pray. 
Amen.

God has great and amazing plans for our lives. 

When God gives you a dream, it’s like becoming pregnant: you conceive (think or imagine) a vision or idea of the “new thing” He’s planned for you. Then, after conception, you go through a season of “pregnancy”—a time of growth and preparation for your dream to become reality.  

When a woman is pregnant, we say she’s “expecting.” In the same way, if we want to reach full-term and not give up or abort the dream and vision God put in us, we must maintain the expectation that it will come to pass.
 

It doesn’t help anyone or anything if you have a bad attitude. In fact, if you murmur and complain, people are probably tired of hearing it. And if we’re honest about it, we’re like this because we want others to feel sorry for us, which doesn’t do any good.

No matter what is going on in your life, you can choose to have a good positive attitude. And if you have a good attitude, God will give you favor with people and in your circumstances.

 

While we can’t always choose our circumstances, we can choose how we react to them.
 

To really live the dream God has for us, we need to let go of greed and selfishness, or “die to self.”

What are some things we must die to…? Things like our personal agenda, timing, way, reputation, getting credit for what we do, the need to be in control, and the need to always be right.

If you will give your life’s total control to God like Christ laid down His life for you, God will do amazing things in you and through you. It’s not easy but the reward on the other side is so worth it—the fulfillment of your God-given dream!

 

LET US PRAY:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the great dreams you have placed in my life. I receive grace to be persistent and to never give up. I declare that I avoid failure to birth a new season. No abortion of my pregnancy! My dream, man-child shall manifest!

Father, I pray away any mistake or error (whether of omission or commission) on my part. I will bring forth salvation to humanity (and fulfill my destiny and God’s purpose for me). All my labors shall never be in vain! Everything “killed” in me shall NOW experience resurrection life and power!

Help me Lord to maintain a good attitude at all times and put greed and flesh to death daily. Today, I rise up from the dust and ashes into the light of Christ! My expectations in you will not be cut short, lt will to me according to the promise of the word.

Have you ever sat back to observe God’s creation? Hope you observed that the essential things needed for sustenance and thriving in life on earth are in abundance; air and water.

The air we breathe is in so much abundance, even 7 billion people on earth do not choke and we rather complain about the pollution than bother about its availability. It is so much more than we can ever need. Generations to come will keep breathing and living.

Even water, there is so much abundant water resource that with good management and processing, living things can never exhaust the water resources.
 

It is said that a human may survive without food for 3 weeks, will live only 3 days without water but passes out in 3 minutes without air.

God is saying something in all this, He is showing us that whatever we need will be supplied in a measure that is more than enough.

He created abundant air, abundant water, abundant plants, and varieties of animals just to lavish humans with abundance.

Abundance is the way God, our Father lives. It behooves us His children to think and live like Big Daddy. No shortage of new ideas, new insights, fresh revelations, innovations, wealth creation, and solutions, and no limit to possibilities.

I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty,” declares the Lord.

Do you have any needs? then be a priest; offer the sacrifices of your lips and a contrite heart before God, then ask God for more than enough for provision. He will satisfy you with abundance and fill you with bounty.

Keep believing in God, hold tight to His word and something new will surely happen.

 

Let Us Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, the God of Abundance, I thank you for giving us everything that pertains to life and godliness in abundance.

I receive abundant grace, mercy, peace, revelation knowledge, wisdom, and power in every area of my life.

Satisfy me with your abundance and fill the nations with bounty.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
