Recognize God As Father
‘ We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.
19 We know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.’
– 1 John 5:18-20
Once you know who you are in the Father, you will be coasting home in victory all the time.

One principal thing that God is restoring to us in this day and season as Christ’s followers is an understanding of our identity.
Once again, dear reader, God says to you that you are loved. God loves you absolutely and is fully committed to your success. In Him, you are not a mistake, you are more than just a number, you are unique.
God created you in His image, He is your Father. A stupendously wealthy, extravagantly loving, abundantly powerful father to you.
Reread the Bible text for today; 1 John 5:18-20 and see who God says you are.
To get a firm grip on your identity in God, Read God’s word to Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:4-10. From there you will notice the following;
– You have a sovereign foundation: These are traits peculiar to you that you had no input in. They were pre-determined by God. Traits like your gender, birthplace/country, your family, the dispensation you were born, and your year of birth.
An identity crisis comes when you decide to erode or disregard your sovereign foundation.
Rather than fight them, I urge you to inspect those details and look into them. It will give you clues about your purpose and identity.
Your identity is clarified through Spiritual formation, that is as you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord & Saviour and grow in His grace.
You became fully reconnected to the eternal life of God and empowered to fulfill all the purposes that Father has in mind for you.
A revelation of your identity changes how you relate with God.
When you know who you are in Him and how much He loves you, you will live more assured and confident. You will live like an overcomer and struggle less with sin. Your relationship will be a child to father-like.
When you see yourself the way God sees you, you will live in dominion just as God created you to.
May YOU come to a fresh revelation and understanding that God is your Father indeed.
LET US PRAY:
Read Jeremiah 1:4-10, 1 John 5:18-20, Ephesians 1:16-19 , Ephesians 3:16-20, Romans 8:37
Father God, thank you for loving me. Thank you that I’m in you. Thank you for keeping me from the grip of the evil one. I will never lack anything good.
Father reveal me to me. Open my eyes of understanding to see my purpose in the light of Christ. Open the eyes of my heart so that I may understand my identity.
Father help me. Bring me into my identity and who I am in Christ.
Father, I ask to know you more beyond sermons and messages.
Father I want to know you better, help me to be comfortable spending time with you. Remove every fear and uncertainty from my heart.
Help me Lord to know that you are my father. Give me a revelation of how you truly see me.
Father give me a picture of my purpose, and identity of who you made me. Craft me something new, a new vision this year. Stretch my imagination to run wide & wild in your ability.
Help me Lord to reach the unreachable, to think new, and to live boldly.
In Jesus’ Name, I declare I’m more than a conqueror. I have eternal life resident in my Spirit so sickness, infirmity, and disease have no home in my body and mind. I am God’s temple. I have God living in me.
I declare and command doors of opportunities and favor open to me of their own accord. I command the heavens are open over me for good and greatness in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
