The Fear of God
The Fear of the Lord
Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025
“Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well.”
– Genesis 26:25
“If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you.”
– Genesis 31:42
“May the God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.”
– Genesis 31:53c
The Fear of the Lord is the forgotten well of our generation—where reverence, awe, and accountability flow. Like Isaac who built an altar, pitched his tent, and dug a well, we are called to restore trembling at God’s Word and live with judgment-seat awareness. This devotional emphasizes personal consecration, covenant accountability, and the restoration of holy awe in God’s house.
