Christian Devotional Reflection
“That day Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well they had dug. They said, ‘We’ve found water!'”
– Genesis 26:32
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
– John 7:37–38
Water is life. It comforts, refreshes, and sustains. In Scripture, water is more than a physical necessity—it carries deep spiritual meaning. It can represent the life of God—rivers of living water (John 7:38). It can symbolize nations and peoples, or even trade and business—the rivers of Babylon. Above all, water reminds us of God’s sustaining promise: always present, always flowing, yet often hidden beneath the surface until someone dares to dig.
The Old Testament is more than history; it is a parable, a divine code, a pattern for us who live in the New Testament era. When we learn to recognize these patterns, we are better positioned to enjoy the fullness of God’s promises today. His Word is already established:
“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.”
– Psalm 119:89
God’s promises are like underground water—they exist whether we access them or not. What makes the difference is our willingness to search, study, and obey until the revelation breaks forth like a surge of living water.
God is always looking for men and women to stand as bridges on earth (Ezekiel 22:30). Jesus Christ, the ultimate bridge-builder, fulfilled God’s will perfectly and completely. We celebrate the patriarchs of faith, but our trust must rest only in Christ’s finished work. He is our foundation.
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.”
– John 14:12
When Jesus said “very truly”, He was unlocking a portal of revelation. Greater things are not about competition, striving, or reinvention. They flow from faith in what Christ has already done. Because He now sits at the right hand of the Father, everything we need is within reach.
Beloved, we have found water—and that water is Christ Himself. It is the revelation of God’s Word, the fulfillment of His promises, and the overflow of His Spirit in our lives. This is our season of Rehoboth Expansion and Greater Things.
Your next level will not come by chasing trends or striving in your own strength. It will come by digging deeply into the finished work of Christ, and by boldly asking your Father, who delights to give good gifts to His children.
🙏 Let Us Pray
Lord, open my eyes to the hidden “wells” of promise You have placed in my life.
I declare that I will not strive or copy trends, but dig deeply into Christ’s finished work. Holy Spirit, give me resilience to keep digging until Your promises manifest.
Father, position me as a bridge; one who carries Your presence into my family, workplace, and community. I receive my Rehoboth; expansion, increase, and space to flourish.
I have found water in Christ. His Word is my well, His Spirit my source, His promises my inheritance. I will not live in dryness or scarcity. I walk in Rehoboth expansion, greater things, and joyful harvest.
This is my Rehoboth season. The Lord has made room for me, and I will be fruitful in the land. I will do greater things because He who called me is faithful.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
