One of the things our common enemy would like for us to think is that our journey is one of self-effort, strength, hustle, and ability. This is why oftentimes we have an overwhelming feeling of loneliness, weakness, stress, fatigue, and exhaustion.
Even as believers, he works our mind to a frenzy ringing the popular cliché “you can make it if you really want, but you must try, try and try, till you succeed at last!”
However, the truth is that our peace comes from learning who Jesus really is, drawing close to Him, embracing His personality, and getting lost in His sweet embrace.
Consider the Priest in the old testament, Exodus 28:29 describes the Levitical mystery embedded in the garment of the High Priest. “When Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will wear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart…. This will be a continual reminder before the Lord”. The breastplate was a compulsory part of the Priestly garment, and all High Priests wore it.
Think of the significance of the new covenant where Jesus Christ is our High Priest! We are members of the “Commonwealth of Israel” (Ephesians 2:12), or “Spiritual Israel” as some would say.
The significance is that Our Great High Priest, Jesus, carried you in His heart when He made that once for all presentation of His blood before His Father! He even still continually carries you and holds you up in intercession before Jehovah! Hallelujah!
You need to take time out and meditate more about your Savior so that you can appreciate who He is to you. This is the way affection grows; not by trying to live by human effort or struggling to make ends meet.
You need to learn to have the mindset of being carried, or “Spirit-borne”. This is the way to live in quietness and peace even in the midst of life’s storms.
Jesus has your name on His Heart. He has mine too. And He remembers His covenant.
Stand strong in faith and the covenant. You are not forgotten. Right there in His heart child of God, your name is etched forever! The technology of God is the Holy Spirit, let the Spirit lead and guide you.
LET US PRAY:
In Jesus’ Name, I declare I am borne by the everlasting arms of God. My life is hidden in Christ in God. I am led by the Holy Spirit. I yield my heart and life to the Holy Spirit.
The Lord is my rock and my shield, my ever-present help in all situations. I live free of worries.
I live in victory. I rule in life with authority, I expand by grace today and all year round.
