Your Identity and Purpose (1)
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
– Jeremiah 1:5
18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.
19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
– 1 John 5:18-20

Purpose Lessons
In this age of identity crisis, it is important that you really need to know who you are and overcome self-doubt.
To know who you are, you need to accept and understand your sovereign foundation. You must not abandon your sovereign foundation and adopt someone else’s, this is a major cause of identity crisis.
When you encounter Jesus at salvation, you come into the spiritual formation that grows you to discover your purpose and deploy your gift for your life work.
Spiritual maturity comes as you understand your sovereign foundation, your gifts and submit to Spiritual formation through Christ. Without Christ, true purpose and maturity are not fully attainable.
The evil one will attack you but he cannot harm you. You are fully insured and secure in Christ.
You are already loved by God. You are already chosen. Your action is to align with the love of God, reap all the blessings of God’s love and stay preserved from evil.
Confidence and boldness come when you know and understand your identity. With a sense of identity, you will say No to all wrong labels, associations, and actions.
The key to your identity is to know that God is Father, your glorious Father. You are not a random person going through a church experience, you are one known to Daddy that cares and knows.
Don’t play ‘big boy’ or ‘big girl’ with God. Get to know Him as your glorious loving Father.
You are God’s child. You have the God-capacity in you. You are powerful through Christ. Everything produces after their kind, you are God’s kind. Let the mind of Christ be in you above the news, cultures, and ideologies in the world around you.
Purpose Prayers
Father, reveal me to me. Open the eyes of my understanding to see my purpose as revealed through Christ. Open the eyes of my heart so that I might understand my identity.
In Jesus’ Name I declare, the evil one cannot harm me. My life is secure in Christ. Thank you Father for delivering me from the evil one.
Thank you Father that you love me and I’m in you. My life is hidden in Christ in God, I am not alone. Grant me a revelation and understanding of who I am in Christ.
Thank you Father for who you have made me. Thank you for your protection and safety. Thank you Father that I will not lack for any good thing.
Father God, I want to know you more intimately and personally beyond sermons and church services. Teach me and help me to be comfortable spending time with you.
Father God Almighty, reveal to me my true identity so that I may know how powerful I am.
